18 years in franchise ownership with The Cleaning Authority, 15 years of corporate franchise experience
Mr. Weddle began his career in franchising in 2002 as a franchisee of The Cleaning Authority. In 2005, Mr. Weddle joined the franchisor as an Operations Representative and rose through the organization as VP of Operations, COO, and eventually became the CEO in 2014. Rob remains today a multi-unit franchisee of The Cleaning Authority.
Mr. Weddle leads the executive team at Authority Brands in the company’s evolution as the leading multi-brand services franchisor. He also provides the operational guidance for the management of Authority Brands’ portfolio brands. Since 2014, Mr. Weddle led the company through numerous brand acquisitions, oversaw substantial gains in unit counts, system sales, and earnings growth, and took the company through a successful exit from ownership by PNC Riverarch Capital and subsequent investment by Apax Partners.
Rob has a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
25 years in corporate franchising
Mr. Balconi has led the legal function of Authority Brands and its affiliates since joining Authority Brands in November 2018. In this role, he oversees all legal matters, including franchising, intellectual property, corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.
A veteran of franchising, Mr. Balconi was previously an attorney for Dunkin’ Brands (Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins) and Little Caesars where he was General Counsel. Mr. Balconi is active in industry associations, including the International Franchise Association and the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, in which he previously served as Director of the Corporate Counsel Division.
Mr. Balconi has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from the University of San Diego.
10 years in corporate franchising
Ms. McLeod became the Chief Marketing Officer of our affiliate, Authority Brands, in December 2018. From January 2015 to April 2017, Ms. McLeod was Director of Marketing for our affiliate, The Cleaning Authority, LLC, and was then promoted to Vice President of Marketing and held the position from April 2017 to December 2018. Before joining The Cleaning Authority, Heather served in marketing roles during her five year tenure at The Dwyer Group (now Neighborly) in Waco, Texas. Her roles included Brand Manager for Mr. Rooter Plumbing and Director of Franchise Sales Marketing. Throughout her career in franchising, Heather has focused on building processes and systems that scale and support continued system growth.
Current ASP owner and 12 years as Franchisee, 21 as Franchisor
Mr. Pearce has been our Chief Development Officer since June 2019. From May 2013 to March 2019, Mr. Pearce was first the Chief Development Officer of ServiceMaster Franchise Services Group in Memphis, Tennessee, which included the brands: ServiceMaster Restore, ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids, AmeriSpec and Furniture Medic.
Mr. Chande has been our Chief Transformation Officer since July 2019. Since March 2020, Mr. Chande has been a Director and co-owner of Spectra International LLC d/b/a Homewatch CareGivers of Silver Spring in Maryland. His prior experience includes roles as Senior Vice President and Board Member of Amano, Vice President of Corporate Initiatives at Towne Park, Practice lead & Director of Consulting at CGI. Mr. Chande has broad executive leadership experience overseeing operations, business transformations, turnarounds and growth by applying strong expertise in disciplined strategy development and execution, value creation, and M&A.
Mr. Chande has Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Maryland. He completed his advanced Executive education at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.
Two years in corporate franchising
Ms. Velaga has served as our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer and a member of HoldCo’s board of managers since April 2020. She has held the same positions with Authority Brands since May 2019 and was its Vice President and Secretary from May 2019 to April 2020. Ms. Velaga also serves as the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and a member of the board of managers/directors for a number of our other affiliates. From September 2014 until May 2019, Ms. Velaga was a Director, Deals with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York, New York.
